Jolly Santa on #docraftsmonday

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you had a good weekend. I had a relaxing, craft-free weekend ready to tackle a busy Krafti week!

As its #docraftsmonday I thought I would share my Docrafts make…

Isn’t he cute? I’ve inked all the layers in brown and covered the front of the decoupage with a layer of acetate.

I’ve added bronze gems around the scalloped aperture for a finishing touch.

Don’t forget to upload your makes to the Official Docrafts Page, Twitter and Instagram adding the tag #docraftsmonday

Enjoy your day!

A New Front Cover!

Hi crafty friends, I hope you’re all well. I’m having a little less manic week this week so I thought I would share some new makes with you.

It’s always lovely to see the fruits of your labour in print but it’s even more exciting when it makes it on the front cover! I was really chuffed when the December Issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft dropped through the letterbox.

This card and two others were made with the bonus papers that come with the magazine and were designed by their Art Assistant Matilda.

I really enjoyed making these, they made a nice break from all the Christmas crafting!

Pick up Issue 151 of Cardmaking & Papercraft for your bonus papers and full instructions on how to create this cards.

Off for some crafty play!

Gorjuss Gets Festive

Hello crafty friends, well that was a quick weekend! I managed to have a relax, do a bit of crafting (for fun!) and now I’m ready for a busy Krafti week. I finished a card off for #docraftsmonday which I wanted to share with you.

I mixed Gorjuss papers with the XCut Winter Village Build a Scene die to create this cute, wintry scene.

I added a layer of acetate and silver adhesive gems to create a flurry of snow and tucked Gorjuss in the corner looking cosy in her hat and scarf.

Right, my craft room is calling, have a great day everyone!

Cute Jolly Santa

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I was working all weekend so I’m I’m having a little lie in today before I get crafty.

As its #docraftsmonday I thought I would share my make for this week.

This cute card has papers from the Papermania Jolly Santa range mixed with the XCut Winter Village Shadow Box Die. The sentiment at the front folds flat for posting.

I cut a tiny, cute Santa from a tag and tucked him in the front, he’s so sweet!

Pop over to the Official Docrafts Facebook page and add your makes adding #docraftsmonday, it’s always great to see all the projects on there on a Monday morning!

Enjoy your day!

Creating Christmas at John Lewis

Good morning crafty friends! I hope you’re all well and getting creative. I’m having a manic week, magazine commissions, two workshops and a demonstration which I’m very thankful for especially with Christmas on its way.

Talking of Christmas, I had a lovely little evening demonstration at John  Lewis in Southampton last night. They sell a selection of docrafts goodies and I was using the Create Christmas range to create some simple cards.

Having limited craft stash can be quite challenging sometimes but I did enjoy creating these simple makes, it made a nice change!

I’m back in John Lewis Southampton on Saturday 5th December with more Christmas ideas from 10-4pm. Come and visit and get festive, it would be lovely to see you!

More Wellington Christmas!

Hello again crafty friends! Unlike me to blog again so soon but I have a couple of cute Wellington makes that were featured in the Christmas edition of Making Cards magazine to share with you..

I’ve really enjoyed working with the Wellington at Christmas range from docrafts, he’s very cute! I’ve stamped the image in brown ink then mixed the stamp pad ink with a little water and applied with a brush for a watercolour effect.

I’ve added a little shine and texture to this card by stamping and embossing the corner with copper embossing powder.

The November Issue of Making Cards is available today from the usual stockists. You can also find more inspiration at Making Cards Magazine

Have a great day!

Wellington Workshops

Hello crafty friends, I hope you’re all well. Things have been pretty busy in Krafti world so I can’t complain. I’ve got lots of work in the pipeline so I’m not joining the dole queue just yet!

So, in Creativity Issue 63 I made a Wellington box card which folds flat for posting.

I made acetate Windows on the outside and sprinkled the corners with iridescent glitter for a snowy effect.

It opens out to reveal Wellington on his sleigh and a three dimensional village scene behind him, created with the XCut Winter Village shadow box die. The box is based on the same idea as an exploding box card so once you open up the sides it folds completely flat.

I will be making a version of this card at Hobbycraft in Southampton on the 14th and Havant on the 15th of November. For £10 you can create a card and take home a card kit plus a copy of Creativity magazine which features this card. You can book online or pay on the day, it would be great to see you!

Come and enjoy a Wellington Christmas!

Enjoy your day,
