A PaperCrafter Christmas

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a good week. Things are busy here as usual. I’ve now recovered from the Great South Run, it was an amazing day and the crowds really helped pull us along. I’m pleased to say we ran the whole 10 miles in 2 hours and 21 seconds and once one final donation comes in I’ll smash my target of £500….happy days!

So, today I’d like to share some more festive makes which feature in the latest issue of PaperCrafter magazine….

These dutch-fold cards are all made using the First Edition Jolly Holidays Paper pad from Trimcraft. There are so many lovely designs in the pad that I needed very little in the way of extra embellishments.

This set was made using A Holly Jolly Christmas Collection, exclusive to Hobbycraft. This super-cute range is so easy to work with and features lots of toppers, stickers and embellishments for extra-easy crafting.

Full instructions and shopping lists for these cards can be found in issue 127 of PaperCrafter.

Have a great day,

A Crafts Beautiful Christmas

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all? I hope you’ve had a productive week. I’m starting to get a bit nervous about doing the Great South Run on Sunday. I’ve been training for over six months and am raising money for Cancer Research. Hopefully it’ll go well!

I’ve managed to raise 65% of my target so far. If any of you would be so kind as to donate to this worthy cause here is my Just Giving page. Many, many thanks in advance.

Anyway, back to crafting….I wanted to share some projects from the Christmas issues of Crafts Beautiful magazine. It was lovely to create something that didn’t involve paper….

This cute wreath features the Papermania Winter Woodland Collection from docrafts. I just love the felt and animals and the snow covered trees.

I used Craft Planet felt and various docrafts basics to make these festive baubles. For a extra touch of texture I ran a blanket stitch around the edge.

Step Into Santa’s Workshop

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all today? It’s a very wet and windy day here on the Isle of Wight so I’m hanging out with Lottie under a duvet at the moment.

I thought this would be the ideal time to share some recent magazine makes which were great fun to make……

These super-fun Santa’s Workshop printables were designed by Emily Waite for the December issue of Papercraft Inspirations magazine.

The collection features lots of cheeky elves and stacks of toys, all in bright festive colours.

Of course, Santa himself makes an appearance, he even has a change of clothes!

There is even a cute gift box to make which I’ve added into an exploding box card.

Papercraft Inspirations issue 184 is out now and these wonderful printables can be found here.

Have a great day,

Festive Fun

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all today? It’s a lovely fresh day here on the Isle of Wight and I’m having a relaxing cuppa before my crafting day begins….

I was at the Range in Cowes on the Island this weekend showcasing the new Christmas ranges from Trimcraft. Here are a few of the cards made…..

This cute aperture card with a mini shaker in the background was made using the Jolly Holidays 8 x 8″ Paper Pad.

These two are made using the Helz Cuppleditch Christmas Village collection, so cute!

This was another shaker made with the Festive Wonder 8 x 8″ Paper Pad.

Finally, I used the more traditional Little Red Robin Collection for this make.

Seasonal Shakers

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all? Wow, how can it be October already, this year is flying by.

The week saw the end of my docrafts demonstrations for this year. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating lots of festive makes recently and I’ve gone mad with shaker cards!

Here’s a selection for you……..

I’ve used the Create Christmas Wooden stamp set for this one and I’ve filled it with a mixture of faux snow, sequins and iridescent glitter.

Gorjuss made an appearance in this one. I’ve used half a Create Christmas Fill Your Own Bauble for this shaker as well as a Papermania Winter Woodland Snow Tipped Mini Tree.

I’ve used an XCut Christmas Scene Die for this card and again used a mixture of faux snow and iridescent glitter.

Finally, I created a very simple shaker using an image from a 12 x 12″ sheet of Santoro Gorjuss Christmas paper. This one is filled with iridescent glitter and Winter Woodland Snowflakes Confetti.
