More Metallic Makes

Good morning crafty friends, how’s your week been? It’s been pretty busy here and I’ve had two docrafts demos over the weekend so no rest for me! I have some more magazine makes to share today that feature in the October issue of Papercraft Inspirations…

These makes feature the Capsule Elements Metallics range from docrafts, perfect for every occasion and recipient.

I used the XCut Star Aperture Cut & Emboss Folder for these makes and mixed them with star dies.

I used the XCut Filigree Heart Mini Die for these Makes to add a romantic touch.

You can find the Capsule Elements Metallics range at your local docrafts stockist.

Papercraft Inspirations issue 169 is available now.

Enjoy your week!

Welcome Willow!

Good morning crafty friends, how’s your week been? It’s been a busy one here this week and it’s not over yet, one more commission to finish, plus a docrafts demonstration, then I can relax.

So….being a massive Santoro fan I have been eagerly awaiting the new Santoro Willow range from docrafts. Finally I managed to get my mitts on one of the fabulous new stamps and created this…..

This card was made for the July Issue of Creativity magazine and I used the Santoro Willow Marie-Antoinette Colour Me In Rubber Stamp.

As you can see, the fine detail on this stamp is amazing, I used Artiste Dual Tip Watercolour Pens mixed with water and applied with a small brush to achieve this look.

The main image was cut out and mounted on an acetate card blank. I then stamped lots of flowers on a sheet from the Santoro Willow 12 x 12″ Paper Pack and tucked them around the image.

As a final flourish I added several stamped butterflies which were mounted on strips of acetate and added a touch of sparkle with a little iridescent glitter glue.

The Santoro Willow range should be hitting your local docrafts stockist now. The July Issue of  Creativity and lots of other fabulous goodies can be found at the docrafts shop.

Have a great weekend,

Fun At The Lido

Good morning crafty friends, how are you all? I had a docrafts demonstration yesterday so I’m having a nice lie-in this morning, bliss!

I have some more summery makes to share today that were featured in the July Issue (166) of Papercraft Inspirations magazine….

These cards were made using the really fun Lido Printables that are available through the Papercraft Inspirations website.

There are lots of swimmers and bathers to play about with and create lots of summery scenes.

I’ve added clear beads to these shaker elements to create bubbles.

There’s even a glamorous mermaid swimming around! You can find these printables over at the Papercraft Inspirations website.

Have fun with them!

Cute As A Button

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re having a productive week. I wanted to say a big thank you to those of you who watched my docrafts live chat last week. I really enjoyed it and it’s now had over 5k views, yay! Hopefully I’ll be back for another crafty chat very soon.

I wanted to share a cute card today that I made for PaperCrafter issue 110….

This quick shaker card was made with Dovecraft Blooming Lovely Papers and First Edition Dies by Trimcraft.

I simply die-cut a square aperture through the front, added a layer of acetate behind it and created a shaker element with these cute flower buttons, also by Trimcraft.

Papercraft Inspirations 110 is available now.

Have a great day,

Where There’s a Quill

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re having a good week. I’m a little nervous this morning as I’m taking part in a live video chat on the docrafts Facebook page…eek! Hopefully it’ll go well and I wont get too overwhelmed, sometimes it’s good to push yourself isn’t it?!

Before I go and mentally prepare myself I would like to share another card I made at my docrafts demonstration at the weekend…

As you’re all probably aware quilling is becoming very fashionable again and I wanted to use it in a more modern way.

I started with a background paper from the Capsule Elements Pigment collection then I used the XCut Oceanic Large Die Set to create the scene.

I then made several quilled circles in various sizes then pinched one end and bent them slightly to create waves. A few adhesive pearls amongst the cute starfish finish the nautical scene.

Should you wish to ask me a crafty question, say hello or heckle me then I will be live on the docrafts Facebook page between 11-12pm today.

Wish me luck!

Weekend Crafty Creations

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you all had a good weekend, they go so quickly don’t they?

I had a docrafts demonstration over at The Range in Portsmouth and I wanted to share some makes from the day….

I really enjoyed making this shadow box card mixing the lovely papers from the brand new Capsule Elements Pigment collection with an Anita’s Foiled Decoupage. I created the pom pom garland by simply threading pom poms from July’s Creativity cover gift on to white cotton thread.

I mixed the new XCut Meadow Flowers Dies with paper and craft tape from the Capsule Elements Pigment collection for this card. I couldn’t resist a Gorjuss girl who came from the A4 Colour Me In Book.

Finally, I showcased the Capsule Elements Pigment A4 Ultimate Die-Cut & Paper Pack by creating this cute trapeze card.

All these great new products are now available at your local docrafts stockist.

Have a good day,

The Ultimate Die-Cut & Paper Pack includes lots of die-cut sentiments, alphabet stickers and bunting.

There are also wooden pegs, wooden letters and wooden tile letters in the collection, perfect for all recipients.

Three Gorjuss Girls

Good morning crafty friends, sorry I’ve been gone a while, I had a lovely week off with my birthday at the end of it then it was a busy crafting week back at work.

So…as I love Gorjuss so much I thought I would share another three makes from some recent docrafts demonstrations…..

This one is made with the Spring At Last Gorjuss Die which I’ve simply layered with die-cut circle apertures and lots of cute punched flowers.

I’ve mixed Capsule Elements Metallics with the XCut Hot Air Balloon Cut & Emboss folder for this cute card and added a Gorjuss sticker. I rubbed a little Artiste Metallic Silver Acrylic Paint over the embossed image with a dry baby wipe to enhance the design.

Again I’ve used the Capsule Elements Metallics range for this with the Gorjuss Colour Me In Stickers and Craft Tape. I’ve simply added watered down watercolour pen to the stickers to match the background cardstock.

All these goodies can be found at your local docrafts stockist.

Enjoy your weekend,

Fun In The Sun

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all well and enjoying the gorgeous weather! Hoobs and myself had both finally caught up with work last week so decided to have this week off. It’s been great to finally relax and we’ve been to the beach every day, the joys of living on an island!

Anyway, to fit in with the weather I have some very summery makes to share that feature in the August issue of Papercraft Inspirations……

I was given a wonderful set of tropical printables, designed by Esther Curtis, to create these cards which can be downloaded from the Papercraft Inspirations website. This rocker card is my favourite, the hula girl was perfect for this.

I couldn’t resist making this spinner card with a pineapple. I mixed the printables with double sided papers from the Kaisercraft Island Escape collection.

I just had to add a touch of pink sparkle in this shaker card to match the flamingo.

Finally, this stepper card was ideal for layering foliage and creating a three dimensional scene.

Full instructions on how to make these cards are available in issue 167 of Papercraft Inspirations. The downloadable papers can be found here.

Right, where’s the sun lotion?

With Love From Gorjuss

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all enjoying the weekend. I’m having a nice lazy one this week as I have double demos next weekend plus a manic week of commissions so I won’t get a day off until next Monday!

Anyway, I wanted to share a card I made at one of last weeks demos which features good old Gorjuss….

I mixed a Creativity cover gift decoupage with papers from the Capsule Elements Metallics range and the Gorjuss Colour Me In Craft Tape.

For the background I spritzed water on white textured cardstock then applied diluted water colour pens on top with a baby wipe. I then splattered Artiste Metallic Silver paint on top.

I added extra shine to the die-cut letters by adding a layer on Anita’s 3D Clear Gloss and added a touch of sparkle with a heart cut from a Jewels & Gems Hearts Gem Border Sticker.

If you would like to attend a free docrafts demonstration then you can find your nearest here.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

S xxx
