Wreaths Aren’t Just For Christmas

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all well and enjoying the lovely weather. I have three commissions left to tackle then I get 10 days off, yay!!

So, today I want to share a project that a created for this month’s Docrafts workshops at Hobbycraft…

This card and tag were made using the new XCut Woodland Stag Wreath Die Set. I wanted to create a pretty non-festive card and tag to show the versatility of the die set.

I used an adhesive chalk sheet in the middle and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. The cute flowers are simply punched out, shaped then dotted about the wreath.

I layered Mr Smith’s Workshop papers for the background which I spritzed with water then distressed and lifted up the edges. The berries have been coloured then Anita’s 3D Gloss has been added on top.

I hope you like it!

Work beckons, have a great day!

Weekend Demo Makes

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a great week. It’s crafty chaos here as I get stuck in and get a pile of things done before we go on holiday on the 25th. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

I had double Docrafts demos over the weekend in Southampton and Portsmouth. Here are some of my makes from the weekend…

This is the Creativity Essentials Meadow stamp which I’ve simply water coloured and used a paintbrush to add splatters.

This simple crackle technique card was based on Mags Woodcock’s project in Creativity magazine and was very popular. Well done Mags!

This is simply the XCut Heart Frame Cut & Emboss Folder with an Anita’s Foiled Decoupage and some pretty embellishments.

Back to Christmas makes today!

Have a great day,

A little Bit of Belle & Boo

Good morning crafty friends, I hope alls well in your crafty worlds. I’ll admit I’m on a bit of a go-slow here, I need a break! Luckily I’ll get one in 3 weeks, I can’t wait. We all need a break from crafting sometimes don’t we?

Anyway, I have some very cute cards to share today that were featured in Issue 96 of PaperCrafter….

I absolutely love this fabulous  range from Trimcraft, it’s perfect for summery makes.

There’s lots of gorgeous embellishments too, look at these cute flowers and wooden frame!

This shaker card is my favourite. I added Isle of Wight sand for a personal touch.

Belle & Boo is available at your local Trimcraft stockist.

Enjoy your day!

Something Summery

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I’m feeling a little flat this morning as I had a lovely time celebrating my birthday all weekend and now I’m a bit sad it’s all over! Oh well, I’m sure I’ll get into the crafty swing of things.

So, even though the weather is a little on the rubbish side, I thought I would share some summery makes with you to try and encourage the sun to come out…

These floral cards were featured in the July Issue of Papercraft Inspirations.

These die-cut flowers are glued to wooden skewers and wrapped in a die-cut doily.

This is a sneaky look at my DT project for WOW! this month.

If you’d like to make something summery then please pop over to WOW! Embossing Powders Blog and join in with this month’s challenge. There’s lots of summer inspired projects from the DT.

Work beckons,

A New Front Cover

Hi crafty friends, I hope you’re all well and having a productive week. I was struggling with motivation yesterday but I soon perked up when the latest issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine turned up. I was really pleased to see one of my cards had made the front cover…

It’s always lovely to see something you’ve created make the front page and it gave me a bit of a boost yesterday.

The six projects were made with this month’s cover gift, the Garden Party 3-in-1 gift collection.

The set contains two embossing folders, this gorgeous stamp and matching papers, I loved working with it.

This issue 158 is available at your local stockist.
Enjoy your day!

A Bit More Gorjuss

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all enjoying your bank holiday weekend. I’ve had Docrafts demos the last couple of days so I’m now enjoying a lie in with tea and pug cuddles thrown in!

I’ve been enjoying working with the new Gorjuss Vintage Rose range, here are two Gorjuss makes from the weekend…

I’ve paper pieced this little lady and used the flap from an envelope to create the side feature.

I’ve used the new Gorjuss Watercolour Dual-Tip Markers mixed with paper piecing  for this card.

All Gorjuss goodies are available at your local Docrafts stockist.

I’ve also been working on a new project for the WOW! Embossing Powders DT…

The project can be seen here. This month’s challenge is a non card project so please pop over and take a look at our inspiration.

Have a great day,

There are lots of decoupage girls as well if you’re not a fan of colouring in.

I am loving these large rose charms!
