Autumnal Inspiration

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a relaxing weekend. I’m having a lovely cuppa and a pug cuddle while still under the duvet, bliss!

As Autumn is definitely here now I thought I would share some Autumn inspired makes that featured in the October issue of Making Cards magazine…..

These cards were made with the super-cute Wilson Wood range from docrafts. I’m loving the acorn charm on this one!

I distressed all the edges of the papers and added extra texture by machine sewing some of the layers together.

How cute is this tiny bunny? Cute bows, wooden shapes and charms add a finishing flourish.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!

Santoro Shaker

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a productive week. Things are pretty busy here in Krafti world, I’m doing lots of magazine projects this week.

I couldn’t resist having a play with the Santoro Kori Kumi range last week from Craft Consortium. I wanted to create something with a festive twist and couldn’t resist another shaker card!

I mixed the range with the XCut Winter Village Shadow Box Die. This die works best with 5 X 7″ card blanks. I cut five contrasting papers from the Kori Kumi  8 X 8″ paper pack slightly smaller than the card front then glued acetate to the back of the front paper and ran thin foam tape around the edge of the aperture.

I glued the other layers together in the correct order then added a cute Kori Kumi die-cut image to festive scene. I added a heaped teaspoon of iridescent glitter in the centre of the papers then attached the front paper on top to create the shaker.

I wrapped raffia string and baker’s twine across the bottom of the layers and added a cute bell then attached all the layers to the card front. I then added Mini Alphabet Bunting across the top of the card with die-cut letters and added lots of iridescent gems to create falling snow.

If you would like to check out the fabulous Santoro Kori Kumi range then pop over to Craft Consortium. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as me!

Have a great day!

Welcome to the WOW! Blog Hop

Good morning crafty friends and happy World Card Making Day! I hope you’re all enjoying this blog hop with the WOW! Design Team.

Here’s my card for the blog hop which is inspired by the changing seasons and has an Autumnal feel.

I used the Mariposa Clear Stamp Set for this card and started by stamping the large butterfly first and embossing with Primary Bark embossing powder. I stamped another on spare card, cut it out and fixed it over the first butterfly to act as a mask.

I then stamped and embossed small butterflies down the left-hand side using Metalline Violet and Opaque Bright White embossing powders. I also added a small sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments Clear Stamp Set.

Finally, I used an embossing pen to draw over small areas of the large butterfly and background and added a touch of sparkle with Pistachio embossing glitter. I then used Distess Ink and marker pens to colour in the background and create the warm, Autumnal look.

My other teamies fabulous projects can be found here…

Seasonal Shakers

Good morning crafty friends, I hope your week is going well. I had a day off yesterday so I’m back to Krafti World today! Things took an interesting turn yesterday but I cannot reveal any more information at present….keep your eyes peeled.

Anyway, I had two Docrafts demonstrations at the weekend at The Range stores in Portsmouth and Southampton and Christmas crafting was in full swing. I couldn’t resist a couple of snowy shaker cards, I just love them.

This card was made using the XCut Filigree Reindeer Bauble Die and a sentiment Mini Die.

I added cute Christmas Tree Luxury Stickers and plenty of iridescent glitter.

I created this cute snow globe card for the July Create Christmas goody bag, full instructions can be found on the leaflet inside.

Work calls!

Cute Kori Kumi

Good morning crafty friends, how are you all? Things are pretty productive on the Isle of Wight, plenty to be getting on with this week.

Some of you may have seen the wonderful Craft Consortium Kori Kumi range featured on Hochanda this week, there was some amazing work on their from the Design Team and my crafty friend Keren Baker, she’s so talented!

Here are a couple of cards that went to Hochanda, you may have spotted them…

I just love the cute apple embellishments and flower stickers.

To create the pom pom bunting I simply threaded small pom poms on to thread with a needle and attached heart stickers on the ends.

I love this Blowing Kisses character as I’m nearly always in a stripy top, I’m quite jealous of her outfit!

If you’d like to check out this gorgeous range then pop over to Craft Consortium.

Have a great day everyone!

A Bit of Crafty News!

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a productive week. My week hasn’t been too manic, I’m making the most of a quiet time and coming up with new ideas etc.

Anyway, some of you may have seen already that I had a lovely bit of crafty news this week. I’ve been very fortunate to have been chosen for Craft Consortium Design Team!

I’ve had my eye on the company for a while now and although I don’t have a lot of spare time for DT work these days, I saw the Santoro Kori Kumi range and thought, “I need to get me some of that!” and applied.

I’ve loved having a play with the range this week, it’s right up my street and I’ve made a few bits for their Hochanda shows next week.

I’m predicting huge success for this company, I’m loving what I’ve seen so far. For more information on the Hochanda shows pop over to the Craft Consortium Blog.

Enjoy your day,

Since we still have some sunshine I thought I would share some summery makes with you that are featured in the September Issue of Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine…

These cards were made with Dina Wakely Media Stamps. I used Scribbly Birds and Small Flowers and Insects for this one.

The watercolour techniques were created with Spectrum Floral Aqua Markers, they can be use straight from the pen or watered down for subtle results.

The range includes lovely embellishments, my favourites are the paper flowers.

The imagery is so gorgeous as well, I could craft with it everyday if I could!
