My first commission for Creativity Magazine!

Good morning crafty friends, I hope alls well with you. Things have been very busy in Krafti HQ, it’s been a very busy weekend doing DT work but I managed to pop out and get a copy of the new Creativity Magazine so I could check out my makes! I’ve been dying to share these makes with you way back since August but I’ve had to be patient! Finally here they are…….

This card was for a feature for Christmas cards for different members of the family and I used the glorious Art Deco range to make a card for a mum. The initial shape gave me some real brain-ache but after a few practice runs it came together in the end! It was so lovely to see it professionally photographed…

This second card was for the Take a Template feature and uses more traditional Christmas colours and lots of the Little Red Robin range.

I inked and distressed lots of layers for this card and kept the template as it is was as it was great and ideal for showcasing the gorgeous Lucy Cromwell imagery.

I was over the moon to be asked to make these cards and I’m very pleased to say I had another commission for Issue 43……but you will have until January to see that!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

I used that Poundland scarf again to make a bow and a handle at the top, all ready to attach to my front door on Thursday!

If you would like to see what the rest of the Design Team have been up to then pop over to Crafty Bloggers Network . There’s still time to join in the fun!

A little Embossalicious!

Good morning my crafty friends! I hope you all had a fabulous crafty weekend. I must admit that I had a craft free weekend. After a stressful week I just needed some time with Hoobie and the dogs and to chill out, ready for lots of crafty work ahead. I do have some makes to share with you that I made a little while ago for Crafters Companion….

I’ve used the new range of Embossalicious folders for these makes which are fabulous!

These intricate folders are wonderful when distressed and really add lots of dimension to projects.

Due to other commitments I am no longer part of the Die’sire Design Team but I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and loved all their fabulous products.

I hope Monday isn’t too painful for you all!

Be back soon!

I’m very proud and excited to say I’m in the Docrafts Creativity Club Design Team!!!

Hello everyone! After the news that I had become a Docrafts demonstrator last week I had yet even more amazing news…..my application for the Creativity Club Design Team had been successful!

When I received Jill’s email I did some crazy Irish jig and then promptly burst into tears so you can probably tell I was really chuffed!! I am absolutely over the moon to be part of this amazing team and I can’t wait to get started. I’m such a huge fan of Docrafts products and I can’t wait to help inspire others.

Anyway, while I’m here I will share some makes that I made at my Docrafts Demonstration on Sunday…..

This is made mainly using the 12 Days of Christmas range and I just love the die-cut figures. I managed to get some of my ladies using the new XCut Xpress and they were impressed with it.

This was my favourite make from the day, I love this cute little stamp and this colour palette would be ideal for a baby’s first Christmas card.

This is a mixture of 12 Days of Christmas and Spots and Stripes Jewel. I love the way that all these new ranges mix so well together.

I can’t wait to see Novembers range of products, not long now!

Take care all,

My Inspiration makes in print

Good evening all, it’s wine o’clock here on the sunny Isle of Wight. Finally my preparations for tomorrow’s demo are finished, I’ve had my nails done and Hoobie’s cooking the dinner so I thought I would share this with you. This is my first proper commissioned piece for a magazine and I’m really chuffed with the end result!

It seems ages ago that I made these, I think it was August which isn’t the greatest time to get festive!

These are all featured in Inspiration magazine, Issue 3 from Crafters Companion.

It’s so lovely to see them in print when they’re professionally photographed! I have absolutely loved my time at Crafters Companion as part of their Die’sire design team but due to other commitments I’ve had to step down. I would like to thank Sharon, Leann and the rest of the team for the fabulous opportunity……Watch this space 🙂

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Preparations are in full swing for my demo tomorrow……

Good morning lovely people!! I’m up bright and early and full of ideas for cards to prepare for my demo tomorrow so I thought I would share some cards with you before I tuck myself away in my craft room. It’s been an amazing week in Krafti HQ, I finally found out on Tuesday that I’m officially a Docrafts demonstrator and I’m absolutely chuffed to bits, it’s a dream come true for me. Here’s what I’ve been up to this week..

I’m trying to keep my demo cards fairly simple as the people that come have all levels of crafting ability and I don’t want anyone to feel to overwhelmed by all the different techniques. Those fabulous 12 Days of Christmas filigree cards was a perfect starting point for this make.

I used my XCut circle cutter again for this card and punched small snowflakes and holes around the edge to add a bit of interest.

I made a fabric felt and fabric flowers brooch for this card, I got to try out my new toy, the XCut Xpress for this. This machine is fabulous, make sure you put it on your Christmas list!

Finally I’ve simply inked and layered some of the a Little Red Robin range and finished it off with punched flowers and some of those wonderfully sparky dome stickers.

I still have plenty of prepare so I best get on, I will be at Busy Bee Garden centre from 10 till 4 tomorrow, it would be lovely to see you!

Some more Christmas Makes from Inspiration……

So…..I had a lovely evening last night, I had great fun using the fabulous new XCut Express machine, it’s amazing! It’s so easy to use which is good as I need to demonstrate it on Sunday!! Best you put it on your Christmas list! Talking of Christmas, here are the rest of my makes for Inspiration magazine……

All my makes feature the fabulous dies and folders from the Dire’sire range from Crafters Companion.

The dies and folders are so versatile, this tea light holder was made so easily just by embossing two Christmas trees, cutting them out and gluing around a recycled dessert jar.

I wanted to try a different colour palette for this make, I used Core’dinations cardstock and distressed it to add plenty of texture.

I’m not sure what makes are going to be in the magazine but my copy is on it’s way so I will find out soon! To order yours pop over to crafters Companion

Off to work I must go!

A little bit of Christmas Inspiration from Crafters Companion

Good morning all my lovely crafty friends! Things are very exciting over at Krafti HQ this week! Firstly Ifound out yesterday that I’ve been accepted as a Docrafts demonstrator (did a dance) and secondly I have my cards published in Inspiration Issue 3 from Crafters Companion this week!

Let me share a make that I made for the magazine..

This was made with using dies and an embossing folder from the fabulous Die’sire range.

I kept the embellishments simple and just added a little twine, tiny pom-poms cute little buttons. They add an extra bit of dimension to the glittery forest.

I added a strip of stiff card to the front which I bent slightly to add a little more interest, I hope you like it. I can’t wait to see it in the magazine…..to order yours head over to Crafters Companion.

Have a great day!

More spooky goings on over at Crafty Bloggers Network

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous crafty weekend. I’ve managed no crafting at all but my new craft room is now looking like a usable space so I shall hopefully be back in Krafti World this week.

I do have a little spooky something to share with you that I made for the Halloween challenge this month over at Crafty Bloggers Network……

This spooky little madam is a digital stamp from Rick St Dennis, this months sponsor. The pumpkin papers were found over at The Creativity Club on the Docrafts website. For just a small fee every year you get access to a huge array of fabulous papers.

I used Promarkers to colour the image and I managed to find a bargain spooky scarf in Poundland which I’ve used for the background and also for the bow, plus a have plenty left for my second inspiration card this month!

Check out the wonderful work from the rest of the Design Team over at http://craftybloggersnetwork.blogspot.co.uk

I will hopefully have some more Krafti makes to share with you very soon!
