A Mixture Make

Good morning, the sun is shining again, whoop! I have to go to work for a little while today and then it’s time to enjoy a lovely Easter break. I’ve not been very busy crafting the last couple of weeks because I know the next few weeks are going to be manic in Krafti world but I do have a little something to share with you….

This card is a mix of the new Gorjuss range and one of my favourite ever ranges Vintage Notes, both from docrafts. I started off with the decoupage image and really wanted to do something a little different with it.

I dug out some of the lovely linen Vintage Notes papers and thought the heart paper was a perfect match and it went from there, I hope you like it.

I’m loving the little Kraft Notes felt flower too, soooo cute!

If you would like to see how to make this card then pop over to docrafts for full instructions and a shopping list.

Have a wonderful Good Friday,

Exciting Times for Creativity Magazine

Hi all, what a fabulous day it is! I’m writing this out in the garden, listening to the birds singing with a pug sunbathing at my feet. It’s almost too nice to do any crafting today but there are a couple of things I have in my head that I would like to conjure up!

Before I do I would like to share my makes from the latest Creativity magazine. The magazine has a fresh new look and the most exciting news is it’s now available monthly, whoop!

This card was made with one of the fabulous cover gifts with this months magazine and I’ve mixed it up with some of the gorgeous Home To Nest range.

This is also a cover gift card mixed with the Forever Love range, the girly colours work well with this image.

Finally I made a Take a Template card using the wonderful Vintage Notes range, I love this range!

As you may be aware, the price of the magazine is now in line with other publications at £4.99 but considering what great value cover gifts you get (3 this month) and the amount of wonderful inspiration its packed with then you’re sure to find it’s worth every penny.

Enjoy!

Spring Has Sprung! Some Easter Inspiration

Hello there! I’m loving these light evenings and it’s so nice to see all the spring flowers appearing. I thought it was time to think about Easter makes so I popped over to Creativity Club and made this card with their fabulous new Easter papers…

Aren’t these papers so cute! I’m loving the fresh spring colours and the retro feel to them. I’m really loving the bunny!

I’ve kept embellishments to a minimum as I wanted the papers to shine through, a few gems, tiny buttons and ribbon is just enough. The perfect start to my Easter makes! If you would like to join Creativity Club and enjoy an array of free downloadable papers then pop over to Creativity Club and get started.

Have a wonderful day.

A recycled project for #docraftsmonday

Good morning! Boo, it’s Monday again but horay, it’s #docraftsmonday again!!

I haven’t been doing much in the way of crafting over the weekend as I have a lot to do in the next couple of weeks so I thought I would enjoy the sun.

I did however made a little something for my desk using leftover docrafts packaging….

I used a Big Bloomer box, a button box and the tube from a roll of adhesive fabric for this make. I cut the top off the bloomer box and cut a V in the front and this formed the notebook holder. I cut up the button box and remade it with craft tape to form the drawing pin holder and then covered them with Sew Lovely adhesive fabric. I also covered two pieces of tube and a semi-circle of card with adhesive fabric and glued everything together to form the organiser.

Once the basic organiser was made I then decorated it with my favourite girl Gorjuss. I’ve used lots of lovely bits and also covered a small notebook with Gorjuss paper and added the fabulous pom pom trim. I’m going to enjoy looking at this on my desk!

Right, work beckons, must dash.

Enjoy your day and don’t forget to join in with #docraftsmonday!

(Gorjuss) Lady in Red

Good morning all you crafty people out there! What a fabulous day it is. I’m enjoying a nice relaxing cuppa and listening to the birds outside so I thought I would pop by and say hello.

I’m sharing another Gorjuss make today that I made at a recent demo for docrafts…

This is the fabulous “Little Red” stamp and so I thought I would use a lovely rich red to go with the new Oyster Blush collection. I’ve stamped and then embossed the images with black embossing powder to give a lovely deep, glossy black finish. I’ve left tiny specks of the black powder over the image to give it a slightly distressed look.

I’ve used the new Artiste permanent markers to colour in parts of the image and the red is really rich and allows the gorgeous sheen of the papers to come through. I’ve been really enjoying working with these new ranges and I have a few more ideas up my crafty sleeve!

Have a great day all…

A Bedroom Revamp for #docraftsmonday

Hi everyone, it’s that time of the week again, good ole #docraftsmonday!

I have been trying to brighten up my bedroom recently and an old chest of drawers was calling out to me for a bit of TLC. I’ve been loving the colours of the new Bellisima range from docrafts so I decided to use the die cuts from the Ultimate Paper pack to cover the top of the drawers.

I used Anita’s Tacky Glue to stick everything down and then added 3 coats of slightly watered down glue on the top to seal it. The die-cut images have a slight sheen to them and look lovely. I added new handles made from plaited raffia and fabric and added some lovely resin flowers. I also decided to revamp an old frame to match..

I used the wonderful new XCut Dressing Room dies on top of a distressed layer of Bellisima paper and added a cute Gorjuss bow and gems to finish it off.

Finally I decided I needed a new cushion to sit on our bed..

I used some cute Spots and Stripes Pastel fat quarters for this make and added some Bare Basics hearts and die-cut felt flowers. The lace is from the Madame Payraud range and the little flowers are finished off with my favourite mini polka dot buttons.

I am really happy with my new revamped pieces and despite them being very girly I even got the seal of approval from Hoobie!

Don’t forget to join in the fun today and every Monday by uploading your docrafts makes to Facebook and Twitter adding #docraftsmonday to your post.

Enjoy your day!

#docraftsmonday is here again!

Hi all!! Ooh I’m enjoying a loving lazy morning after working 7 days in a row. It’s so nice to finally do nothing for a day….although I may sneak a little crafting in later.

So……#docraftsmonday is here again and here is my make….

This is a mixture of the new Gorjuss and Oyster Blush collections from docrafts. I’ve been demonstrating these all weekend along with the Belisimma range.

I thought I would experiment with Oyster Blush and black together and I think it works quite well. I stamped and embossed the images in black, leaving little specks of embossing powder around the images to give them a slightly vintage look. The embossing powder gives them a lovely deep colour and shine.

To get involved in the fun then post your recent docrafts makes on Facebook and/or Twitter adding #docraftsmonday in your post. I can’t wait to see what you make!

The Brand New Look Creativity Has Arrived!!

Good morning! I don’t know why I’m up so early this morning, I really needed sleep after a very tiring day yesterday but I’ve been wide awake for ages! I’m having my first double demo weekend so I hope I can see straight by the end of the day!

I can’t complain though as I’m loving all the new collections from docrafts and all the customers seem happy too! I was particularly looking forward to the new look magazine which I was lucky enough to have a couple of makes in…

I absolutely loved making this heart wreath, it was one of those projects that came together fairly easily which doesn’t always happen. It’s quite a simple make so I’m hoping lots of Creativity readers have a go at making one!

How cute is this bear?! It was lovely using this colour palette and I’m really loving the lace papers, they add a great dimension to any project. I thought the new magazine looked wonderful. There has been a lot of talk regarding the price rise but considering what you get for your money compared other magazines on the market it’s money well spent. Keep up the amazing work Creativity, I’m very proud to be part of it!

A New Design Team Make to Share!

Hi crafty friends, finally the weekend is nearly here! It’s going to be non-stop crafting for me this weekend as I have 2 demonstrations, I can’t wait to show everyone all the new docrafts goodies!

I would like to share a recent make with you today that I was asked to make for Cardmaking and Papercraft….

After winning the docrafts section in their last Cardmaker of the Year competition they asked me if I would like to become part of their new online Design Team and of course I jumped at the chance!

This Get Well card was made using the fabulous Parisienne Blue range from docrafts. The colours are beautiful and working really well with brown inked edges.

If you would like to have a go at making this card and would also see some of the other Design Team makes then pop over to Cardmaking and Papercraft

Enjoy your weekend!
