Getting crafty over the weekend

Good morning crafty friends, I hope alls well in your worlds and you all had a great weekend. I’ve had a very busy few days in Krafti world, I had an exciting meeting on Friday (more news to follow soon) and then had two docrafts demonstrations in Gosport and Southampton.

I was inspired by the snowy weather to create this Gorjuss shaker card. She looks all wrapped up and cosy in the snow.

This card is a mix of the XCut Lace Frame Large Die, Anita’s Foiled Topper and Bare Basics flowers.

This was my favourite make of the weekend. I mixed various XCut Die sets and added some cute punched flowers to create this Valentine’s card.

All these products are available at your local docrafts stockist.

Have a great day,

Crafty New Year!

Hi crafty friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a crafty new year. I’ve had a lovely two weeks off but now I’m refreshed and ready to take on new crafty adventures in 2017.

I have some cards to share today that are made using a clever product from Apple Blossom called Embroidery and Stitching Card.

This clever card comes in white, Kraft and black and is covered in tiny laser cut holes. It’s perfect for sewing into and creating unusual projects.

I had fun experimenting with different uses for all the holes, as you can see it’s very versatile!

Apple Blossom Stitch and Embroidery Card is currently available over at Craftstash.co.uk

Have a fabulous day!

Festive Greetings

Hi crafty friends, I hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas so far. I’m loving having a relax after a very busy year. I’m just enjoying another cuppa in bed with madam Lottie snoring away next to me.

So, I forgot I still had some festive makes to share that were in the December issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine.

These cards were made with papers designed by designer Matilda who works for the magazine.

I mixed them with XCut Mini Dies and wooden sentiments from docrafts.

Cute rounded corners, pink baker’s twine and white bells compliment the modern look of the papers.

I promise these are my final Christmas projects to share, I hope you like them.

Enjoy another relaxing day,

Fast Festive Make

Good morning crafty friends, I hope all is well. Christmas is fast approaching and I still have a ton of work to do before the big day, then I finally get two weeks off, yay!!

I have a quick and easy card to share with you today that’s perfect if you want to make your cards but time is short. All the products used to make it are from Craft Consortium.

I started by covering the front of a 5 x 7″ card blank with Silver Baubles Decoupage paper then adding Adhesive Pearl and Rhinestone Flowers from The Wedding Collection in the corners.

I covered a piece of white card with Blue Snowflakes Decoupage Paper and  die-cut a square through it. I drew a square on the background to match up with the square aperture then added a layer of vellum then three fussy cut baubles.

I wrapped Duck Satin Ribbon from The Wedding Collection under the aperture and  added a large bow with another Rhinestone Flower in the centre. I then attached the card to the card front using foam pads. A small sentiment and Adhesive Pearls from The Wedding Collection add the final finishing touch.

To see all of the Decoupage Papers and The Wedding Collection pop over to Craft Consortium.

Have a great day!

A Sweet Shaker

Hello crafty friends, I hope you’re all well. So sorry I’ve not been on here for a while, it’s been a very busy few weeks.

Today I have a cute shaker card to share with you that’s in the latest issue of Creativity magazine.

The main feature of this card is the XCut Flower Fairies Cut & Emboss Folder from docrafts.

I’ve cut the centre circle out and added acetate behind it to create the shaker element and added gorgeous pink glitter.

Tiny punched flowers with  pearl gems and an embossed sentiment complete the card.

You can find full instructions on how to make this card in Creativity issue 77, available now.

Have a great day,

Frosty Christmas

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a good week. It’s all very busy here and I’m off tomorrow morning to film at The Craft Channel for three days, fun times!

They did a lovely blog post for me, you can check it out here.

So, I still have a few festive bits and pieces to share, this frosty card is featured in the Christmas edition of Quick Cards Made Easy.

I used the XCut Winter Village Shadow Box Die for this and die-cut the layers in different shades of pale blue.

I inked the edges lightly with pearlescent blue ink and added glittery snowflake stickers to add to the frostiness.

Finally, iridescent glitter glue added to the tops of the trees and buildings and iridescent gems added as falling snow complete the look.

My first shows at The Craft Channel are Saturday at 3pm, 4pm and 8pm. I also have shows Sunday and Monday, please join me!

Light Up Christmas Cards

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Our trip to Manchester fell through but we had a lovely time shopping and going on lots of country walks with Lottie with some cheeky pub stops!

I have some recent magazine makes to share with you that were featured in the Christmas Edition of Making Cards magazine….

All these cards were made using the Festive Fauna range from docrafts and have Create Christmas LED Lights incorporated into the designs.

The lights are quite small and the tiny battery pack allows it to be hidden away within the card quite discretely.

The finished result is a Christmas card with a subtle festive glow. They’re something a little extra special too.

Full instructions on how to make these cards can be found in the Christmas edition of Making Cards magazine.

Look out for me again this week on The Craft Channel, I’m back there Friday and Saturday, my first show is 1pm Friday.

Enjoy your day,

A Christmas Promise

Good morning crafty friends, how are you all? Did any of you see me make my debut on The Craft Channel last week? I have to say I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I’d be and the main presenters are so brilliant at their job that they made it easy for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back on there soon, I will keep you posted!

So, I have some more Christmas makes to share today that feature in the December issue of Papercraft Inspirations magazine….

These cards were made with the First Edition Christmas Promise range from Trimcraft. I love the subtle colours.

I also used the Dovecraft Magic and Sparkle Glitter Frames which add a subtle shimmer and I’ve distressed all the edges of the papers.

The gorgeous Die-cuts are the First Edition Christmas Topper Dies exclusive to Hobbycraft. I hope you like them!

Work beckons, have a great day everyone!

Light Up Your Christmas

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a relaxing weekend. I’m enjoying a cheeky cuppa in bed before I head off to Zumba. I need a bit of stress relief before my crazy week starts, and it’s going to be a bit of a manic one!

So, I wanted to share a make with you that I created for Issue 100 of Papercrafter magazine.  I was really pleased with how this wreath turned out.

It was made using the XCut Woodland Stag Wreath Set. I cut a ring from a sturdy cardboard box for the base then layered the foliage on top.

I carefully wrapped a set of Papermania Create Christmas LED White String Lights around the wreath and added extra foliage on top to cover the wires.

Finally I punched out some small flowers in purple cardstock and added silver gems in the middles  for a touch of sparkle.

It was a bit of a fiddly process but I think it was worth it!

Don’t forget to join me on my debut on The Craft Channel this week, Wednesday at 12pm and 7pm and Thursday at 9am and 2pm. I can’t wait!
