My Queen Bee

Hello crafty friends, I hope you’re all well. I have finally found some time to play about with the Tell The Bees collection from Craft Consortium and I’ve married my two favourite things together (besides the husband), crafting and pugs!

This is my little madam Lottie and I thought she was perfect for a “Queen Bee” scrapbook page. Her colouring works well with the gorgeous papers in this range, designed in the U.K. by mega talented illustrator and designer Katy Hackney.

I’ve added paint and machine stitching to the 12 x 12″ papers. The 200gsm double-sided papers come in a variety of finishes and are very sturdy so withstand lots of tearing and distressing.

I’ve added extra detail to of the painted areas using the clear stamps and a black ink pad. For texture I’ve added strips of linen cotton ribbon and for a touch of sparkle I’ve added sequins.

You can see the whole collection and find out where you can get your hands on it over at Craft Consortium.

I hope you enjoy this fabulous range as much as me!

Nifty Nautical Makes

Good morning crafty friends, I’ve missed you. I know it’s been a while, apologies! We are dealing with a family illness at present which has come as a shock so everything else has taken a back seat. Hopefully there will be a positive outcome very soon, everything crossed!

I thought I’d share some recent makes that are featured in issue 165 (June) of Papercraft Inspirations magazine…..

All these cards were made using their downloadable nautical papers, toppers and sentiments.

These beautifully drawn images need very little in the way of extra embellishments, this cute whale is my favourite.

I couldn’t live on an island and not use genuine Isle of Wight sand in this shaker card!

A stepper card is ideal for creating a beach scene.

If you would like to download these papers for free then pop over to the Papercraft Inspirations website.

Enjoy your weekend,

Pugs – a – Rockin’

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you all had a lovely Easter. I had a cheeky extra day off yesterday so I’m ready to crack on today with several crafty commissions.

Before I start I just wanted to share a classic rocker card that I made at a recent docrafts demonstration.

I’m sure you’ve all seen one before but incase you haven’t then the pugs head is attach to a thin strip of card which is slotted through a slit in the top of the card.

The card strip is then attached to a two pence piece so when the card rocks the head moves in the opposite direction. I’ve used the Paws For Thought range for this, cute eh?

I added to the party theme with confetti attached with strips of acetate and plenty of sparkly gems.

Have a good day!

Yay, The Range Is Here on the Isle of Wight!

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a good week. I’m looking forward to a few days off this Easter but first I get to demonstrate at the brand new The Range store on their opening day in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Here are some quick samples I’ve made with some of the latest Trimcraft ranges……

This exploding box card is made with the Kiss and Makeup Collection.

Perfect for Spring, this is the Blooming Lovely collection.

This is a super-quick card using the Painted Blooms collection.

I was lucky enough to pop in to the new store yesterday and here’s a sneaky look at some of the lovely Trimcraft products all ready for your crafty hands!

Pop in and say hello tomorrow, I’ll be at the store from 10am until 4pm making lots of cards and answering any craft related questions.

I can’t wait!

Seaside Shabby Chic

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all? Things are busy here in Krafti world and I’m working on several commissions this week.

I wanted to share these makes with you that are featured in the March issue of Quick Cards Made Easy….

These four cards were make using the Prima French Riviera range.

There are lots of gorgeous papers and embellishments in the range and I decided to ink and distress all the layers.

I also machine stitched around the edges to add extra texture.

I unpicked the stitching in some places, peeled back the paper and added small embellishments.

Full instructions for these cards and a shopping list can be found in Quick Cards Made Easy.
Have a great day,

Dogs On Film

Good morning crafty friends, where has this week gone? It’s been a busy one for me in Krafti world.

I thought I would do a quick blog post and share two cards that I made at my docrafts demonstration at The Range on Saturday…..

I couldn’t resist making this pug card using the new Paws For Thought range from docrafts.

Look at their cute faces!! I love the idea of pugs going into a photo booth and having some shots taken. I used a small square die to cut out the apertures.

I used lots of sparkly pink glitter for this make which I sprinkled on double sided tape and used the XCut Selfie Frame Die to frame this cute pup.

Look out of a docrafts demonstration near you soon.

Have a good day,

Mums The Word

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all well and have had a productive week. I’ve got lots done this week and I also have a docrafts demonstration this Saturday too.

As it’s Mothers Day soon I thought I would share some projects I made for Papercraft Inspirations Issue 162 as they’re perfect for all the mums out there…

All the projects were made using the XCut Butterfly Aperture Cut & Embossing Folder. I’ve created a shaker card then added pink glitter and lightly inked the de bossed side of the card.

I’ve used teal card for the background which I’ve subtly inked in white and purple. Tiny punched flowers add a touch of colour.

Finally, I decorated a gift bag to match using a pearlescent pale yellow paper.

Enjoy your weekend,
