It’s Time To Sparkle

Hello crafty friends, how are we all? I made the most of a weekend off with lots of eating, drinking and pug cuddling! I’m recharged now and ready to start my busy week.

I had a Trimcraft demonstration on the Isle of Wight a couple of weeks ago and particularly enjoyed working with their Time To Sparkle Collection….

This collection features three sizes of papers in lots of golds, browns and neutral colours.

There are plenty of coordinating embellishments too including stickers, washi tape and glitter pegs.

There are also coordinating dies and stamps that work perfectly with the whole collection.

These wooden shapes which I’ve painted layered on glittery gifts tags make a super-quick card.

You can check out lots of inspiration over at The Craft Blog.

Have a productive week,

Pugs & Kisses

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all? This week seems to be rushing by, in fact, I’m not sure where this month is going!

A few month’s back I was asked to create some shaped card designs for Quick Cards Made Easy magazine. I could choose between a cat or a dog….well there was no other option for me was there? Of course I went for pug shaped!

These featured in Issue 167 of Quick Cards back in July and I just loved making these. I love the way they were photographed in the mag.

The basic template is printed in the magazine and I’ve decorated them with papers and embellishments from the Papermania Paws For Thought Collection from docrafts.

For a realistic shine to the eyes and of course a healthy wet nose I added a couple of layers of Anita’s 3D Gloss.

This issue of Quick Cards Made Easy including this pug template is available here.

Enjoy your day,

Another busy week here in Krafti world but today is definitely a good day….I’ve not really said anything about this but my mum is having her final round of chemo today, yay!! It’s finally going to be over for her, she’s still got a long way to go yet but finally after three months this part of the treatment is done and dusted.

Super Speedy Makes

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all? It’s a lovely sunny day here on the Isle of Wight and I’ve got a very busy few days coming up.

Before the madness begins I’d like to share some quick makes from my docrafts demonstrations over the  weekend….

This simple inlaid card features the new XCut Winter Robin Die which I’ve mixed with an Anita’s Christmas Foiled Decoupage.

I’ve mixed the XCut Mini Baubles Small Die with Modern Lustre and glitter papers from the Love Santa range for this speedy make.

This super quck design is an Anita’s Christmas Foiled Decoupage mixed with Modern Lustre paper and a Die-cut Sentiment.

All these products are now available at your local docrafts stockist.

A Peaceful Christmas

Good morning crafty friends, I hope your week is going well. I’ve got another busy day ahead but thought I would grab a cuppa first and share my favourite make from last weekend’s docrafts demonstrations…..

This was made using the brand new XCut Winter Forest Die. It’s a beautiful square die and I really wanted to show it off so I die-cut it in white textured card three times then cut it up to create the layers in this snowy scene.

I attached the layers to ovals made with the XCut Nesting Ovals then layered up with foam pads. I used Paper from the Modern Lustre 12 x 12″ Paper Pack on the front.

I tucked a layer of acetate across the top of one of the layers and added sparkly falling snow then added a snowflake, sentiment and small sentiment tag. The teal cardstock in the background adds a pop of colour.

Enjoy your day!

  Kitsch Christmas

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all? Sorry  it’s been a while, things have been pretty manic here.

I had two docrafts demonstrations over the weekend which gave me the chance to play with the new, absolutely gorgeous Love Santa Range. This fifties inspired range is proving very popular….

What better way to capture Santa’s cheeky face then in his own set of photos?

The Range also comes with glitter papers and these super-cute pom poms. The snowflake is a new XCut Mini Die.

How cute is this reindeer? I love the bright colours in this range.

The range includes some amazing embellishments including fairy light charms, adhesive stones and this mini tinsel, love it!

Step back in time and thoroughly enjoy this new docrafts range.

Have a great day,

More Gorjuss Girls

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all having a productive week. I’ve managed to get loads done this week so am looking forward to a long weekend off.

I wanted to share some more recent demo makes today featuring my favourite girl Gorjuss….

This beach inspired card was made with the Santoro Gorjuss A4 Ultimate Die Cut and Paper Pack.

I used the XCut Oceanic Large Die for the cute waves and starfish and the sentiment is from the Capsule Elements Pigment range.

This is another mix of ranges. The sentiment, paper and craft tape is all Capsule Elements Pigment. Cute Gorjuss is from the Santoro A4 Colour Me In book.

I’ve simply coloured her with Artiste Watercolour Pens mixed with water and applied with a brush then nestled her in flowers made using the XCut Meadow Flowers Die.

Work is calling!

Have a great day,

A New Take On Willow

Good morning crafty friends how are we all? Am having to do lots of hospital visits this week so it has not been as productive as I would’ve liked but hey, I’m plodding on!

I wanted to share a card I made at one of my demos at the weekend which I particularly enjoyed making…….

I wanted to have another play with the Santoro Marie Antoinette Willow Stamp again which I mixed with papers from the Capsule Elements Pigment range.

I started by rubbing a purple Gelato across the top of a Pigment paper, spritzing with water then letting the drips run down. While that was drying I stamped the main image on white card and various Pigment papers with a dye ink pad.

I watered down my purple Gelato on an acrylic block and applied to areas of the image with a brush for a watercolour effect. I then paper pieced the flowers, birds etc on top.

Finally I added a sentiment, stamped butterflies, tiny gems and a lick of iridescent glitter to finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card and hope to have more of a play with the Santoro Willow range very soon. It’s now available at your local docrafts stockist.

Have a great day!
