It’s Time To Sparkle

Hello crafty friends, how are we all? I made the most of a weekend off with lots of eating, drinking and pug cuddling! I’m recharged now and ready to start my busy week.

I had a Trimcraft demonstration on the Isle of Wight a couple of weeks ago and particularly enjoyed working with their Time To Sparkle Collection….

This collection features three sizes of papers in lots of golds, browns and neutral colours.

There are plenty of coordinating embellishments too including stickers, washi tape and glitter pegs.

There are also coordinating dies and stamps that work perfectly with the whole collection.

These wooden shapes which I’ve painted layered on glittery gifts tags make a super-quick card.

You can check out lots of inspiration over at The Craft Blog.

Have a productive week,

Winter Woodland is finally here!

Good morning crafty friends, how are we all? I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I had a lovely relaxing weekend off so I’m now ready for a productive week.

I’ve got some makes to show you today that I’ve been itching to share with you……

These cards were featured in this month’s PaperCrafter magazine and were made with the amazing Winter Woodland Collection from Craft Consortium.

These beautiful 12 x 12” Papers were all hand drawn by talented artist Katy Hackney. There are also stamps and cute embellishments in the collection.

This amazing collection is launched today on Create & Craft at 2pm and 9pm, you can check out what else will be on the shows here.

I can’t wait!

Have a great day,

Light Up Christmas Cards

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Our trip to Manchester fell through but we had a lovely time shopping and going on lots of country walks with Lottie with some cheeky pub stops!

I have some recent magazine makes to share with you that were featured in the Christmas Edition of Making Cards magazine….

All these cards were made using the Festive Fauna range from docrafts and have Create Christmas LED Lights incorporated into the designs.

The lights are quite small and the tiny battery pack allows it to be hidden away within the card quite discretely.

The finished result is a Christmas card with a subtle festive glow. They’re something a little extra special too.

Full instructions on how to make these cards can be found in the Christmas edition of Making Cards magazine.

Look out for me again this week on The Craft Channel, I’m back there Friday and Saturday, my first show is 1pm Friday.

Enjoy your day,

Seasonal Shakers

Good morning crafty friends, I hope your week is going well. I had a day off yesterday so I’m back to Krafti World today! Things took an interesting turn yesterday but I cannot reveal any more information at present….keep your eyes peeled.

Anyway, I had two Docrafts demonstrations at the weekend at The Range stores in Portsmouth and Southampton and Christmas crafting was in full swing. I couldn’t resist a couple of snowy shaker cards, I just love them.

This card was made using the XCut Filigree Reindeer Bauble Die and a sentiment Mini Die.

I added cute Christmas Tree Luxury Stickers and plenty of iridescent glitter.

I created this cute snow globe card for the July Create Christmas goody bag, full instructions can be found on the leaflet inside.

Work calls!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hi crafty friends, I’ve been woken up early this morning  as Hoobs is getting excited as he’s getting to see Star Wars tomorrow so I thought I would write a quick post.

These Wellington makes are a different version of a box card I made for Creativity Issue 63..

I’ve mixed Papermania Wellington at Christmas from Docrafts with the XCut Winter Village Shadow Box Die.

I’ve made windows covered in acetate and  added a touch of glue in the corners then sprinkled iridescent glitter on top for a festive look.

I have one more commission to finish this morning and then finally my Christmas holiday starts!!

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!!

Jolly Santa on #docraftsmonday

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you had a good weekend. I had a relaxing, craft-free weekend ready to tackle a busy Krafti week!

As its #docraftsmonday I thought I would share my Docrafts make…

Isn’t he cute? I’ve inked all the layers in brown and covered the front of the decoupage with a layer of acetate.

I’ve added bronze gems around the scalloped aperture for a finishing touch.

Don’t forget to upload your makes to the Official Docrafts Page, Twitter and Instagram adding the tag #docraftsmonday

Enjoy your day!

Folk Christmas Magazine Makes

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you’re all gearing up for a productive day. I’ve got lots to do today but I thought I would have an extra cuppa and do a little blogging before I get started today.

I have some Christmas cards made with the Papermania Folk Christmas range that feature in the latest issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine….

I love this range, it’s so bright and fresh and also quite retro. I’m not a big fan of really traditional Christmas colours so this range is ideal for me.

If you would like instructions on how these were made then pick up Issue 149 of Cardmaking and Papercraft, available now.

My craft room is calling! Have a great day…

Crafty Fun at The Craft Gallery

Hi crafty friends, I just love Sunday mornings! I was going to go to Zumba but after working all day yesterday I’m enjoying tea and TV in bed, bliss!

I’m slowly getting my head around recent events and am feeling quite positive about it all. I’ve actually got quite a bit of work coming in which is great and I’m hoping that there’ll be more soon with a bit of luck!

So, I have a lovely time at the Craft Gallery (also known as the Market Gallery) in Southampton yesterday. We were in full on Christmas mode although I managed to make one non festive make that was inspired by a card I made in this month’s Creativity.

This Anita’s topper was mixed with various neutral embellishments to create an Autumn inspired make.

This is a simple but cute Wellington stepper card with a touch of gold sparkle.

This cheeky gingerbread man is from the Jolly Santa range.

I had a great day, it’s great to remember what my job is about…inspiring others.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
